Study visits

Moldova State University (USM) in Chișinău, Republic of Moldova (22-26 septembrie 2025)

The purpose of the visit was to document good practices related to the use of European structural and investment funds aimed at strengthening competitiveness and resilience in the European business environment. As part of the academic activities, on 24 September 2025, Mr. Mazilu delivered the seminar “The Economy of the Self: From Resilience to Creativity” at the Faculty of International Relations, Political and Administrative Sciences of USM. The seminar brought together 46 students and provided an interdisciplinary perspective on the relationship between individual resilience, creativity, and the broader dynamics of European competitiveness. The discussions highlighted the importance of European instruments for sustainable development and encouraged critical reflection on the personal dimension of resilience within contemporary economic contexts.

During the visit, collaborative discussions were held with Ms. Cristina Morari, University Lecturer and Vice-Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, Political and Administrative Sciences. The exchanges addressed best practices in accessing and utilizing European structural and investment funds, the institutional needs specific to the Republic of Moldova, and opportunities for future cooperation in the context of the country’s pre-accession efforts. The study visit contributed significantly to strengthening academic ties between the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași and the Moldova State University, creating a foundation for potential joint initiatives, collaborative projects, and continued knowledge exchange.
